Hi, I’m The Laser Ham. I have been a licensed ham radio operator for a number of years and enjoy the hobby. One thing I love about amateur radio is setting up stations. All the options and parts and cables and connections really gets my mind going, like how some people love putting together jigsaw puzzles. It is such a satisfying feeling to finally power up that radio and hear voices from around the world. However, what’s enjoyable in the ham shack is not so enjoyable in the field. When I hike out to that campsite or to up to that summit, the last thing I want is to do is assemble a complex antenna. I don’t want to keep track of multiple small pieces that are easy to lose in the grass or in a puddle or snow bank. I want to be able to unpack and deploy my antenna in less than a minute, without the worry of having accidentally left half of the antenna parts at home. That’s one of the reasons I decided to create TheLaserHam.com. I have ideas on how to make effective antennas that are quick to deploy and don’t have small parts to lose. I also have ideas on other products that you might find interesting, but more on those in the future. That you for your interest. I hope you enjoy my designs and you find them useful.
