Hand-Built Folding Ground Plane "Jungle" Antennas
I'm George Kostopoulos, KO4HVI, and I build folding quarter-wave ground plane ("jungle") antennas by hand in Pleasant View, Tennessee. I personally cut, solder, crimp, assemble, and test every antenna before it ships.
My Jungle Hub design is now in its 6th generation. Each antenna is one piece, with no frame to assemble, no sticks to find, and no parts to lose. Unfold it, hang it, and connect your coax. It's a full-size quarter-wave ground plane tuned for its band, with the radials built in and an Amphenol BNC connector at the hub.
Antennas
- 2m / MURS Folding Ground Plane Antenna (also usable on 70cm and GMRS)
- 1.25m (222 MHz) Folding Ground Plane Antenna
- 70cm / GMRS Folding Ground Plane Antenna
They're made for POTA, SOTA, EmComm, search and rescue, go bags, hiking, backpacking, and apartments, HOA homes, and hotel rooms where a permanent antenna isn't an option. You can buy them on Etsy and eBay, and I ship worldwide through eBay.
